I had done quite a bit of research to find the perfect man for the job and came across your site, going through it I knew you were the man. The lead up was such an ease with your online music site and you gave us some incredible ideas to break the day up i.e. the table cards, quizzes, Mr & Mrs, whiskey toss and the Tom Foolrey box which went down brilliantly .
The way you read out some of the cards during the wedding breakfast I think everyone was surprised by that as they are usually written and put to one side, great touch!

A little history…
Christie and Mark, the former owners of Brookfield Barn, had put a lot of effort into making this a terrific venue. Everything was considered from the point of view of the bride and groom’s needs. Under the new ownership by the well respected Artemis group, and their brilliant team, it’s an absolute pleasure to work there, and many improvements have been made to make this an even more perfect wedding venue! This barn venue has it all, for weddings throughout the whole year. Brookfield Barn is set in the rolling West Sussex hills of Lower Beeding, just 10 minutes from Horsham. Its secluded location is within easy reach of the M23 corridor and Gatwick Airport. There are plenty of places for your guests to stay in locally.
“Brian was our DJ and Master of Ceremonies for our wedding in August at Brookfield Barn. We heard about Brian through the venue as he was already recommended by them. Brian arranged a Skype call to introduce himself and discuss wedding ideas and we instantly liked his upbeat style and ‘can-do’ thinking!
Planning the wedding day with Brian was actually enjoyable, Brian is very accommodating and even invited us to his home to discuss plans. He uses an online website to collect and organise all of the music choices which we could work on in the lead up to the wedding. We had lots of ideas and many ages and cultures to include within the wedding and Brian was confident it could be done.
On the day, Brian was able to seamlessly direct the proceedings and on-goings making a very relaxed but organised Master of Ceremonies. Your wedding day at Brookfield Barn
Ceremonies and drinks:
Your civil ceremony can be held in the barn itself, or in the beautiful oak gazebo outside, with views of the pond. During your drinks reception outdoors on the beautifully paved patio, try and spot the fossils on the paving slabs. I love these and have the same in my patio! Your choices of background music can also be played here as well as in the rest of the venue. This sets the scene for the rest of the day. As everything is south facing, you will also have some fantastic photos to look back on at sunset.
If the weather is inclement, the large bar and lounge area is also perfect for the drinks reception. I can also help you with the ceremony music production. This is a service I offer many couples, which makes a huge difference to their wedding ceremony.

Wedding breakfast:
Once all the photos are taken, it’s time to eat! Everybody is invited trough into the spacious Oak Barn. If you have booked me as your MC, I will welcome you in to your favourite piece of music as everyone cheers and claps. The barn has fabulous views from its large glazed doors over the pond and rolling countryside. I am very fortunate to be recommended by the venue for my services as a wedding DJ and Master of Ceremonies.
Customer service and attention to detail is very noticeable, as is the love for what they do so well. The barn is very well technically equipped. A lot has been thought of when the current owners made improvements. A very clever sound system is installed, allowing your choices of music to be played throughout the venue, even outside. The lighting can be controlled to create different colours and brightness levels. The lovely oak beams are wrapped in pealights which look spectacular. There are even 3 electric winches for the use of decor designers.
After the wedding breakfast and speeches are over, it’s time to retire to the bar area for coffee. The barn is then reset, ready for the evening party.
Party time in the barn:
As evening falls, the barn will look totally different. The uplighting placed all around is set to a colour of your choice. This is where I will provide my high quality Pioneer, JBL, or Bose sound system with effects lighting, and DJ to you and your guests. You may even want me to work alongside a band or Ceilidh caller for a bit more variety. From your first dance to the last dance, your music choices are the key to a great party. Everyone will remember how much they danced to it.
The recently refreshed lounge and bar areas also provide an area for guests to chill out, as well as the patio which features a couple of fire pits and a stunning outdoor kitchen. And finally, there are a few lovely comfortable bedrooms available, perfect for the wedding party, close family, or friends to stay the night.
