Félicitations Romain et Marie
The lovely Romain and Marie got in touch with me earlier this year, as I was the only French speaking wedding DJ they could find in the UK! This is one of my unique specialities, having lived in France with family for many years when I was young. Romain and Marie both live in London, as do many of their guests, and they found this amazing venue in Oxfordshire to celebrate their wedding weekend. Having officially tied the knot in London on Friday, plans were set for a cérémonie laïque, reception and party on Saturday, followed by a chilled brunch on Sunday. As almost everyone was French, with the help of Romain and Marie’s requests and my experience, I prepared a French infused music list for this wedding.
Well, this is certainly the way to celebrate a wedding! The ceremony was wonderfully personal with loved ones sharing anecdotes, humour, poems, advice, and of course Romain and Marie’s beautiful vows. I provided the music for this as chosen by the newlyweds. The drinks reception (Le Cocktail) followed, also outdoors in the stunning garden, and I DJ’d a really cool selection of music for people to enjoy whilst sipping champagne.

After this, it was time to eat, and check out the band. Once the band finished, it was my turn to DJ until 1am. French weddings often go on well into the early hours, but we really had to call it a day at 1am although all the guests having filled the dancefloor all night, could have easily gone on till 3 or 4!

Sunday celebrations
The following morning, I returned to Tythe Bicester to DJ a brunch set as Romain and Marie’s fab guests and family joined them in the farmhouse garden for drinks, nibbles, and fun. For this I used my battery powered mobile PA and decks from PioneerDJ, the mighty AphaTheta Omnis Duo and Wave Eight speakers which was perfect for this event.
