Happy 60th Antony and Janice
Back in my late teens, I spent many nights DJing in my hometown of Leatherhead, playing at venues like Leatherhead Football Club, Whispers, The Riverside Club, the Leisure Centre, and plenty of other spots. Antony and his friends were regulars at all these events. I also hosted a show on Epsom District Hospital Radio, where my one loyal listener was Antony, who was recovering from an accident at the time.
So when it came time to celebrate his 60th birthday with Janice, there was no better venue than Leatherhead Football Club, and Antony asked me to bring back those musical memories. I must have DJ’d at LFC hundreds of times in the 80’s, and those parties were legendary for our generation. It was an incredible full circle moment to return with my son Simon, DJ’ing together in the very place where it all began for me!
