The fabulous Southend Barns
Set near Donnington, just south of Chichester in West Sussex, Southend Barns is a real gem of a venue! This superbly appointed and well run wedding venue consists of a number of versatile buildings and spaces, mostly around a central courtyard.
The ceremony
For your outdoor wedding ceremony, The Secret Garden is perfect. Alternatively, for an indoor wedding ceremony, The Dairy Barn provides a stylish and cool space for the most important part of your day. Later in the day, you can also make great use of The Dairy Barn to chill out, or entertain the kids.
The drinks reception
The central courtyard consists of a large lawn with beautiful slate patio, and a fabulous and cosy seating area which is heated and covered. This area is perfect for the drinks reception and group photos. Later on, as the evening chill rolls in, the firepit provides a welcome warmth.
The wedding breakfast
The 200 year old restored Threshing Barn is the main feature of Southend Barns. This space has a real wow factor. Think modernised rustic barn, real wooden beams, huge windows, cream walls, and a stunning polished concrete floor. This really is the most perfect space to have a wedding meal and celebrate with all your friends and family in total comfort. Then, finish off your delicious meal with the much anticipated speeches.
The evening party
As night falls, it’s time to party! And, and awesome place to party is The Threshing Barn as it is transformed for the evening. It’s time to dance the night away to your favourite music, hopefully with your favourite DJ! I will use effects lighting and mood uplighting, a neat and tidy DJ system with perfectly clear sound to ensure you and all your guests have a fabulous time. Why not use my vintage VW Camper van split screen DJ booth – it fits in so well in this venue.
Dear Brian, We just wanted to say another huge thank you for helping us to have such an amazing wedding day. The music was absolutely perfect, and I think a special thank you is needed for the 5ive songs that allowed the maid of honour to showcase her dancing / lip syncing skills! Thank you as well for the Mr & Mrs game, it was such a laugh and so many people told us how fun they found it. Best wishes.
