Weekday or weekend availability – what you should know
Do I just work weekends, or can I booked for a weekday? As I am a full time professional DJ, you can book me any day of the week to provide my services, assuming I am available on your date.
Do you just work weekends?
This is a question I am asked often, as people assume that this is just a hobby for me, and I may have a day job during the week. Unlike many other weekend warrior DJs, I am a full time DJ. This is my career, and I can easily provide my services on any day of the week or weekend.
The most highly sought after dates for weddings and parties are Saturdays, then Fridays and Sundays. Mondays to Thursdays are usually less sought after.
What does this mean for you if you are planning a party? Well, your dream venue and top suppliers are most likely to be booked for the most sought after weekends in the spring, summer and autumn, at least one year in advance. Availability for weekday weddings is likely to be better, even at short notice.
This also affect the pricing of their services. You are more likely to find good discounts for off peak, midweek booking for every service. Venues and other suppliers may be able to offer you a twilight package on non peak dates which are definitely more budget friendly. Don’t be afraid to ask if you don’t see these on their websites.
We should also talk about part time DJs versus full time DJs at this point. Full time DJs like myself who do this as their sole career are more likely to be available for you any day of the week, and usually offer much better customer service than those who are part time or hobby DJs.
