On Saturday 23rd August 2025<\/strong>, I had the absolute pleasure of DJ\u2019ing<\/a> for Heather and Matt\u2019s wedding at the Beethoven Suite, Hickstead Showground<\/strong> in West Sussex<\/a>, and what a night it was! From our very first chat nearly two years ago right through to the big day, I knew this was going to be a wedding full of energy, personality, and one very busy dancefloor. Heather and Matt wanted a celebration where their guests could truly let loose, and wow, did they deliver on that vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting the Tone in the Daytime<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My role at Heather and Matt\u2019s wedding didn\u2019t just start when the dancing began. During the wedding breakfast I provided background music<\/strong> to create a relaxed and happy atmosphere, and one of my favourite moments of the day was their grand entrance<\/strong>. To the tune of 5,6,7,8<\/em> by Steps, Heather and Matt entered the Beethoven Suite to huge cheers as their guests stood and waved their napkins in the air. This is such a brilliant way to kick things off! I also supplied the microphones for the speeches, making sure every word, laugh, and tear was heard clearly by everyone in the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Night to Remember<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As the evening arrived, we kicked things off with a newlyweds DJ battle<\/strong>. This is always a crowd pleaser which instantly sets the tone. From there, it was a journey through floor filling classics, their personal favourites, and even a late night drum & bass set<\/strong> that blew the roof off the Beethoven Suite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights for me was watching how packed the dancefloor stayed from start to finish. Everywhere I looked, people were singing, dancing, and just completely in the moment whilst I was mixing up a storm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heather and Matt summed it up perfectly in their review:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When we said we wanted a busy dancefloor, we really meant it and Brian absolutely nailed it. So many of our guests have said it was the best wedding, reception, or dancefloor they\u2019ve ever been to, and that\u2019s 100% down to him.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Going the Extra Mile<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It was a joy working with Heather and Matt, from visiting their venue in advance, to extending into the day when they wanted me to provide background music for the meal and mics for the speeches, to shaping the playlist around the music they love. My goal is always to make things as smooth and unforgettable as possible, and with this wedding, everything just clicked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
